The Sage is a bamboo backed Osage string follow longbow.Constructed from air dried pre- tapered Laminations and the finest tempered bamboo. The backing strip is pre spined and tillered prior to uniting to bow. All bow dimensions follow Howard's recommendations and each bow length is adjusted to draw according to his personal formula. Tillering and string alignment was his top priority and is mine as well.This is when over 25 years of bow building experience really pays off. Now comes the finish ,5 coats of spar varnish.(Howard's favorite) or clear acrylic makes one great shooting easy to look at true Hill style Longbow.
